H2- TWO DAY DAIRY SHOW
Friday, August 11th – All Heifers—Breeds will show by the listing order in the book—Holstein, R&W Holstein, Jersey, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Milking Shorthorn, Ayrshire—Starting with Spring Calves through Jr. Best Three and ending with Grand Champion Heifer Over All Breeds.
Saturday, August 12th – All Cows—Breeds will show by the listing order in the book beginning with Jr. Two Year Olds. This will be followed by Grand Champion Female Over All Breeds and then Group Classes.
Entry Fee $4.00 Premiums Offered $8,978.00
ATTENTION DAIRY EXHIBITORS!

Every exhibit regardless of class, must be entered with the FAIR BOARD SECRETARY, Susan Banks.

No animal will be permitted to compete for more than one class except as one of a herd or pair.

Members of immediate family ONLY may combine entries to show in group class. OPEN SHOW ONLY.

Any yearling that has calved must be shown in JR. Two-Year Old Cow Class.

Any breed with less than 20 head may be combined at the discretion of the superintendents.

EXHIBITOR’S TAGS must be worn in show ring.

PROOF OF EXHIBITOR’S AGE required for JR. Show, i.e., birth certificate, driver’s license.

JR. Show entries must be exhibited by a JR. Exhibitor.

Open Show & JR. Show are shown together.

Proper dairy show attire, white pants and clean shirt, recommended for exhibitor to appropriately represent the dairy industry.

Each exhibitor must check registration and health papers at the Superintendent’s headquarters prior to JR. Show time.

H2-CLASS 10-JUNIOR DAIRY STEER
Show will be on Saturday, August 12th immediately following dairy show
Entry Fee $4.00 Per Entry
Housing will be in the 4-H aisle with your club.
Open dairy steers - open to all 4-H steers.
Dairy steers will be weighed at 4-H time. These weights will be used to divide the class.
Steers must be castrated and dehorned.
Acceptable dairy breeds (can be crossed dairy x dairy) Holstein, Brown Swiss, Jersey, Ayrshire and Guernsey
Classes will be divided by the Superintendent into lightweight, medium weight, and heavy weight.
Youth Dairy Judging Contest
Open to first 20 entries, boy or girl between ages 8 & 21years of age as of Sept. 1, 2022. Contestants will determine placings in two lineups of animals as selected by the Superintendent.
Contest to be held Wednesday, August 9th at 12:30 p.m. prior to the VIP Dairy Show. No entry fee.
In case of ties, premium amounts will be adjusted.
