Our show is ABA and APA sanctioned with several club meets, cash prizes, and trophys.

1. Each exhibitor will be required to purchase an Exhibitors ticket at $20.00 each (only one car or truck sticker per family.)

2. Entries must be postmarked by July 15th. WALK-IN ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Mail entries and checks to Dan & Karen Tuttle, 10506 County Line Road, Marengo, IL 60152. Make checks payable to the Boone County Fair. If you have any questions please call 815-482-0006 or 815-509-0956.

3. All livestock exhibitor’s trucks, trailers and vehicles must be parked outside the gates.

4. Birds being shown as 4-H projects or in the JR. Show may also be shown in the Open Show. Not more than two premiums will be awarded to one exhibitor under one class number. Please make your Open Show entries on a separate sheet from your JR. Show entries. No changes to entries will be allowed with the exception of office error or at the request of the Judge. Also double check premium numbers on your entries for mistakes before mailing, because we cannot make changes after entries are turned into the fair office. Com­petition is open to the world. Each exhibitor will be required to fill out a state health certificate before cooping birds in.

5. All birds will be fed and watered by the superintendents free of charge, fair will supply feed and litter. Birds requiring additional bedding during the fair, must be done at the exhibitor’s expense.

6. No birds can be removed from their cages after 3 p.m. & before 4 p.m on Sunday Aug 13th.

7. Breed type will be determined by Interpretation of the “American Poultry Association Breed Standard, Standard of Perfection.”

8. The superintendent has the right to reject birds showing any signs of disease or parasites. No For Sale signs or distinguishing marks will be allowed on the coops until after judging is completed.

9. Cooping will be ready to receive birds starting at noon Sunday, August 6th.  Birds not cooped by 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 7th will not be judged and entry fees will be forfeited, no exceptions.

10. Poultry will be judged on Wednesday, August 9th, starting at 7:30 a.m. No poultry may be removed from the fairgrounds until Sunday, August 13th at 4:00 p.m.

COCK -  A male bird hatched before Sept. 1, 2022

HEN -  A female bird hatched before Sept. 1, 2022

COCKEREL-  A male bird hatched after Sept. 1, 2022

PULLET - A female bird hatched after Sept 1  2022

EXHIBITORS ARE NOT TO REMOVE TAGS FROM COOPS FOR ANY REASON.
